There must come a realization
of a place marked in time
where man must face the lasting truth
of his call that’s divine

for the cross is pointing the way
origin begins here
of a new life found only in Christ
that success brings to bear

through a lifetime of mortal toil
where faith must lead the way
actively obedient to God
carries one through the day

searching always for perfect plans
respecting God above
any movement toward success
is based upon one’s love

for enemies are determined
to break the focused gain
thwarting God’s plan through deception
and often causing pain
____
but God shall bless His committed
His holy remnant proves
that Jesus is in full control
in sovereignty He moves

to aid the church through one through all
in bringing home the saved
as the road to success leads home
has already been paved
